Benjamin WILKIN
100% Renewable Director
Benjamin Wilkin, a bioengineer by training and passionate about renewable energy, joined Energie Commune’s team back in 2008. Since then, he has gained extensive expertise in solar, wind, geothermal energy, and much more, always focusing on energy efficiency. Tirelessly training other people, he shares his knowledge while diving into new projects.
In 2015, he became the Director of Energie Commune. A leader who never runs out of energy to imagine a 100% renewable future!
Sophie DELHAYE
Co-Director 100% efFIKAcient
Sophie Delhaye, a civil engineer, began her career optimizing buildings’ energy performance through dynamic thermal simulations. Since joining Energie Commune in 2011, her skills benefited innovative projects, developing tools to make renewable energy more fair and inclusive.
Today, she leads the "Energy Sharing and Communities" project for Brussels Environment, while also handling operational management as Deputy Director of Energie Commune. A true energy virtuoso, kind and with a smile to boot!
Samuel ALVES
Mr. Communic'Action
Samuel, a graphic design graduate, has expanded his communication skills throughout his career. He joined Energie Commune in October 2023, where he plays a key role in communication strategy and daily operations. Sensitive to the challenges of energy transition, Samuel uses his expertise in visual communication to enhance the visibility of the organization’s initiatives. With a creative approach, he helps convey messages in a powerful and engaging way!
Mathieu BOURGEOIS
Mr. Energy Community
A graduate in political science from UCL and environmental management from ULB, Mathieu initially advised on energy and environmental issues at the Brussels-Capital Region Parliament before joining the cabinet of the Brussels Minister of Energy.
Since 2019, he has brought his expertise to Energie Commune, managing energy sharing and communities related projects, supervising this crucial topic, and representing the organization to public authorities to advocate for a democratic energy transition. A strategic expert who combines deep knowledge with a commitment to a renewable, fair, and inclusive energy transition!
Olivier BOVEROUX
Mr. Renewable Energy Techno-Eco
Olivier is a trained management engineer who accumulated over two years of experience at ENGIE Electrabel as an analyst, where he evaluated electricity consumption profiles, explored regulations like dynamic and capacity tariffs, and optimized heating, cooling, and ventilation systems for energy savings.
He joined Energie Commune in January 2023 and brought his techno-economic expertise in photovoltaics, energy storage and sharing. He also worked on the technical design of the Walloon solar mapping project. An expert who combines analytical rigor with a passion for energy innovation!
Minh BUI
Ms. Energy COM'Minh
Minh, a communication graduate, joined Energie Commune’s communication team in late 2017. In 2019, she expanded her role to become a communication officer and IT manager. Minh also plays a key role in supporting the communication of renewable energy citizen cooperatives, thereby enhancing the visibility and impact of local initiatives. With versatile skills, she ensures a connection between projects and communication.
Johanna D'HERNONCOURT
Ms. Turbine
Johanna D'Hernoncourt, an economics graduate from ULB, joined Energie Commune in 2011. Since then, she has become a true expert in wind and hydroelectric projects, participating in European projects like Good Practice Wind Energy and RESTOR Hydro. Her expertise spans technical, legal, financial, and environmental aspects.
Passionate about energy transition, Johanna actively contributes to local initiatives like the POLLEC campaign and the IMPLEMENT project.
Since 2019, she has also managed human resources at Energie Commune, while continuing to be a driving force in the energy transition. An energy expert and hands-on pro who knows how to combine expertise and commitment!
Roland D'HOOP
Mr. Lifelong Education
Roland, a communications graduate from IHECS with a Teaching Aptitude Diploma, spent 14 years at Amnesty International and 13 years at Oxfam-Magasins du monde, raising awareness among young people and adults about human rights, the environment, and decent work.
In 2022, he joined Energie Commune as a project manager, applying his expertise to school projects and lifelong education. A playful pedagogy enthusiast who combines social commitment with energy transition!
Jean FRIPPIAT
Mr. Shared Solar Energy
Freshly graduated in industrial engineering with a specialization in construction, energy, and environment, Jean joined Energie Commune in August 2020 after an enriching year-long internship on renewable energy communities.
Currently a project manager, he is expanding his expertise in renewable technologies and energy community dynamics. With contagious enthusiasm and a solid technical background, he contributes to innovative and sustainable projects completion.
Christophe HAVEAUX
Mr. Renouvelle
With a degree in communication and journalism from IHECS (Brussels, 1995), Christophe HAVEAUX has contributed to various Belgian newspapers and magazines (Le Soir, Le Ligueur, etc.). From 1999, he expanded his expertise in digital media, working as a content manager for several web portals.
A daily cyclist, he worked on a project for the non-profit Gracq before becoming Communications Officer at EDORA, the federation of renewable energy producers, in 2005.
In 2006, he joined Energie Commune, where he coordinated communications for 10 years. He now manages the editorial content of Renouvelle.be and conducts energy and climate awareness workshops in primary schools.
Nicolas HUBERT
Mr. Local Engagement Facilitator
With a degree in political science and environmental science, Nicolas first worked on energy-climate issues at the European level before joining Energie Commune in March 2022 as a territorial workshop trainer.
Passionate about non-formal education, he uses his creativity to assist Walloon municipalities in developing and implementing their energy-climate plans while fostering citizen participation. With a love for giant prints, colorful post-its, and laminators, Nicolas combines dynamism and innovation to advance local projects on climate issues.
Coline JOFFROY
Ms. Energy Sharing
After studying law and environmental management, Coline gained a solid experience in land use planning before specializing as a researcher at ULB, where she studied the social acceptability of energy infrastructures.
Since October 2022, she has joined Energie Commune to focus on energy sharing and communities, both in Brussels and Wallonia. Coline applies her expertise to facilitate the implementation of renewable energy projects, guiding consumers in their efforts. A committed professional who combines academic rigor and enthusiasm for community dynamics in the energy sector.
Manon KOLENBERG
Ms. Legal
Manon holds a Master's degree (LLM) in International and European Law from Maastricht University, in addition to a Master's in Belgian Law from UCL. She has been a legal advisor at Energie Commune since June 2021, supporting the organisation's activities, particularly those related to the development of local renewable energy communities.
With a strong passion for environmental law, she enthusiastically contributes to the team's projects.
Geneviève NADIN
Ms. Accounting
With degrees in legal sciences and international trade, Geneviève joined Energie Commune in 1991. She began by setting up the secretariat and documentation center before specializing in accounting and daily management of the non-profit association, after training in accounting. With over 30 years of experience, Geneviève has developed deep expertise in the organization’s accounting and administrative management. A seasoned professional, essential to the smooth functioning of the non-profit association, who combines rigor and longevity in her role.
Mathieu PETITJEAN
Mr. Commun'IT
A civil engineering graduate in electronics and telecommunications from ULB in 2018, Mathieu began his career by creating smart devices, where he refined his skills in technological solutions. He then focused to the automation and optimization of soil remediation processes, combining technology and sustainability.
Since late 2023, Mathieu has joined the Energie Commune team as a project manager, developing innovative tools for energy sharing and system flexibility. With his technical expertise and passion for new technologies, he helps make the energy transition smoother and more accessible.
Frédéric PRAILLET
Mr. POLLEC
Frédéric Praillet, a trained industrial engineer, has gained extensive experience in developing territorial energy-climate strategies. His career includes key roles such as municipal energy advisor and energy officer within a Local Action Group. He has coordinated the Territorial axis within Energie Commune for over 10 years, overseeing numerous innovative projects.
Since 2022, Frédéric has particularly focused on developing diagnostic and territorial governance tools aimed at social-ecological resilience, notably through the Homeos project. His expertise enables the creation of tailored solutions to strengthen territorial resilience in the face of climate challenges, combining technical knowledge with strategic vision.
Lauréline WATTECAMPS
Ms. Energiedelen
After completing a trilingual bachelor's degree in Political Science and Sociology-Anthropology from Saint-Louis University, as well as a master's in Environmental Management from ULB, Lauréline joined Energie Commune in September 2023. She brings a dynamic and positive touch to the team, playing a key role in supporting energy sharing and community projects. With her skills in French and Dutch, Lauréline ensures smooth and effective communication in both languages, thereby enhancing the reach and impact of energy initiatives. Her enthusiastic approach and multidisciplinary training effectively support the team.
Board of Directors
As stated in our Articles of Association, our Board of Directors is vested with the broadest powers to manage and administer the association and to carry out the tasks entrusted to it by the General Meeting.
It delegates the day-to-day management of the association to the Director and, if necessary, to the Deputy Director.
It is made up of at least 4 people appointed for 2 years by the General Meeting.
Arnaud COLLIGNON
President
Arnaud is in charge of energy at IEW and joined the Board of Directors in 2019. For the past 10 years, Arnaud has been working for associations on energy and climate issues, first with Greenpeace and now with ‘inter’. Energy issues were discovered by chance and have now become a real passion.
In 2020, he became Chairman of the Board of Directors of Energie Commune.
Jacopo GIOLA
Administrator
Co-founder of 1PRISM, Jacopo Giola joins the Board of Directors in 2020, bringing his expertise in digital strategy.
Fabienne MARCHAL
Administrator
President of REScoop Wallonie, Fabienne Marchal brings us her expertise in the cooperative model and renewable energy.
She joined the Board of Directors in 2020.
Nicolas SPIES
Administrator
As an energy advisor with Embuild, he develops information, training and assistance initiatives for construction companies.
He has been a director of Energie Commune since 2008, appointed by Asbl Objectif 2050, and enjoys being involved in defining the association's direction. He hopes that Energie Commune will strike the right balance between the educational focus of the association and the innovative, high-performance development projects for renewable energy production technologies.
